Cambridge Country Cottages

Fiona has lived in Cambridgeshire for 32 years, and 5 years ago decided to start her own holiday let rental business.

Fiona’s special Cambridge Country Cottages started life as a humble dairy and are set in a scenic courtyard containing stables, a granary, and a magnificent 16th Century timbered barn. Surrounded by 23 acres of parkland on the edge of the picturesque village of Horningsea, just 2.5 miles from the historic and thriving City of Cambridge.

There are 4 properties that are available, The Old Dairy, The Buttery, Hayloft and coming soon is The Cart Shed. All properties sleep up to 2 guests and have private outdoor seating areas and access to the swimming pool.

When Fiona started her business, she relied on OTA’s to bring in her business. Booking.com and Airbnb were her top choices but she found they were taking too much commission from every booking.

She found herself spending a lot of her time making sure dates were booked out across platforms to avoid double bookings, writing down bookings and trying to stay on top of the day to day running of a holiday let.
