Automated Housekeeper Emails
This new feature sends out an automated email every Sunday evening with a list of all the changeovers for the forthcoming 2 weeks. Furthermore, if a new booking is taken within the 2 week period, another email is sent to the housekeeper with these details. (Pro and Agent account only).
Booking Forms
Having last year introduced a new set of fully responsive bookings forms to make everything suitable for mobile viewing, we now recommend those of you still using the old forms to change over to the new ones. They’re much easier on the eye, work better on mobile devices and offer more configurability in terms of what is displayed on your website. If you need any guidance on how to do this, please feel free to give us a call.
Copying Availability and Pricing
To assist in copying your rental prices from one year to the next, you can now select the period you wish to copy and then publish this to the following year. You can increase prices by either a fixed amount or a percentage and even round up to the nearest pound. This should make the tedious job of updating prices considerably quicker. (Pro and Agent accounts only). The Agent account also has a Pricing Template to allow you to set a price for a particular type of unit and then simply publish to multiple units.
Special Offers Box on Rate Card
A number of you have asked what can be done to advertise Special Offers on the Bookalet system. Due to the complexities of how the system works and the way discounts are applied, this is not an easy task. However, we have made some changes to the new Rate Card widget, with the introduction of a free text box in which you can describe any Special Offers you’re currently running. This text can be added in the “Configure Widget” page.
Agent Search Widget
We’ve recently made some significant improvements to the Search Widget provided in the Agent account. You can now categorise a selection of properties into groups and then filter your search by these groups. For example, you may add a Group Category called “National Parks” and then add all the National Parks such as the “Peak District” as Group Elements. On the publishable search form, you’ll now be able to filter your search by National Parks. Great if you’re running a portal with multiple properties.
